Laser therapy is noninvasive, and highly effective in treating a variety of conditions such as wounds, allergies, arthritis, degenerative joint disease, and hip dysplasia. We also use laser therapy to aid in the healing process after surgical procedures. If your pet has an acute or chronic medical condition, laser therapy may help your pet.
The therapeutic laser produces a near infrared beam of light that deeply penetrates tissues and induces a biological response in the cells which leads to reduced pain, reduced inflammation, and increases the speed of healing. Treatment time, power and laser pulse frequency are based on your pet's individual condition and body size. Each treatment protocol is unique the patient and his or her specific condition, and treatments will vary in time, complexity, and cost. Most pets typically experience an improvement in their condition within the first few treatments and we are often able to reduce the pain medications you give your pet. Your pet will not require sedation and the experience is usually pleasant and comforting to your pet. Also, pets do not need to have any hair clipped to receive the treatment.
